Nail biting is such a nasty habit but sadly many people suffer with this problem. It can be a lot harder then what you think to break this habit too. How to stop nail biting may seem like a never ending search for many people, but with these tips you can break the habit.

Maintenance is a key factor in overcoming the urge to nibble. Keep your fingernails short and polished. Sometimes looking down at your hands and seeing nicely kept nails is all the motivation that some people need.

You can also try to retrain yourself to break the habit. Every time you catch yourself gnawing at those fingers try substituting the action with something more productive, like a bubble bath or some exercise. They key is finding a way to vent your stress without the biting.
