Popular Fat Binder And Fat Blocker Pills

By Lisa Wood

Obesity and overweight have increased the demand for weight loss products hugely and as an answer to that large number of products is offered. They can have form of pills, capsules, patches, drinks, gums and anything else you can imagine. Product groups include appetite suppressants, fat binders, fat blockers, fat burners and many others.

Let's look at the fat binder and fat blocker pills and how they work. Both are preventing the absorption of fat by body but each of them does it differently which is described bellow. Eventually your body absorb less fat, less calories and you gain less weight or if you do some extra work you lose it. Sales letters say that you will lose weight even if you use just these products and don't change anything but for the best results, you'll have to change your diet a bit and start some light exercise routine. It's like an aid to boost your weight loss efforts and make them achievable.

Number of brand names is offered but I will focus only on 2 the most popular (in my opinion) of them which are quite popular and have shown some good performance and have gained recognition amongst dieters.

FDA approved fat blocker - Alli. As the name states this is a fat blocker which prevents the absorption of fat by your body which unabsorbed as a waste gets excreted. Orlistat (active ingredient) attaches to enzymes within the digestive system and preventing them the breaking down the fat. In average with Alli you can reduce your fat intake by about 25% which makes your dieting twice more effective than dieting alone. Alli have proven to an effective weight loss product but the downside is its side effects or treatment effects (called by Alli). Especially when instructions are ignored, which include low fat diet, side effects may appear. These may include diarrhoea, bowel movements, urgent need for the toilet.

Fat binder with no side effects - Proactol. As mentioned, these pills cause no side effects and work differently but the goal is the safe - reduce fat intake by preventing it from the absorption by the body. Manufacturer say that up to 28% of ingested fat can be excluded from your diet. In this case, active ingredient attaches to ingested fat forming a complex which can't be absorbed by the body.

Prevention of fat being absorbed by the body is the purpose of both - fat binders and fat blockers. Which suits you better is your choice; fat binders are more forgiving because of no side effects when guidelines aren't complied with but fat blockers force you to stick to the rule because if you fail then you'll be "punished" by possible side effects. - 26706
